One of my favorites from the album that a lot of people aren’t acknowledging. I love the bluesy feel this song has to it. It’s probably better off left as the bonus track it is since it doesn’t quite fit the Born and Raised aesthetic, but I still dig it.
I was one of the biggest sceptics of this album, but it is growing on me! Another solid favourite. Johnny May, always winning me over.
Need to be taken care of right now. I am getting started on immigration matters for moving to London, trying to work out the kinks of this summer job in the south of France and preparing for a family/friends-intensive two weeks commencing June 2nd. Convocation takes place on the 7th.
Somewhat more pressing is the small matter of the French Open which starts in 5 days! Murray probably does not have a hope in Hades so I am keen to see Nadal dethrone the Djoker and take this one. Roland Garros is so exciting!
Did I? I don’t think I have that song though..
Are you sure that’s its title?
Depth over distance was all I asked of you
And everybody round here’s acting like a stone
Still there’s things I’d do, darling, I’d go blind for you
If you let go sometimes, let it go sometimes, let it go
Just let it go sometimes
Hold on, wait until that long sun
Breaks from the arms of the Lord
Hold on, though we may be too young
To know this ride we’re on
Hold on, wait though we may be too young
To know this ride we’re on
Depth over distance every time, my dear,
And I may foolish to fall as I do
Still there’s strength in the blindness you fear
If you’re coming too
If you’re coming too..
